Engineering Sustainability Science Technology Leader Zero Waste Energy offers a high-solids, batch processing anaerobic digestion design for almost any organic material utilizing SMARTFERM® SMARTTRUN® proprietary technology. The batch processing is well suited to produce biogas from stacked solid organic waste in a non-continuous process. Unlike other dry fermentation technologies, SMARTFERM® SMARTTRUN® offers a sub-grade percolate tank, which significantly reduces, and percolate biogas process piping runs and the size of motors and fans to move them. HYDROTHERMAL CARBONISATION TORRIFICATION TECHNOLOGY®

Hydrothermal Carbonization Torrefaction (HCTC) is an innovative Engineering Sustainability Science industrial technology that involves scientifically repurposing REFUSE into Enhance Enrich High-Density Calorific Eco green Biochar Coal. The organic substrate with moisture content up to 85% can be milled and mixed with water, and the substrate injected in phases. In an HCTC process, REFUSE is incorporated into a "Patented Processed Substrate" then exposed to moderate temperatures, around 180-250 °C, and pressures (approximately 10-20 bars). Thereby converted into two main products - a coal-like product HCTC carbon, usually from 50 to 80%wt, and an aqueous phase rich in nutrients, sugars, and organic acids (from 5 to 35%), and another 5% represented by non-condensable gases (mainly CO2). The resulting product is a coal water-slurry, but the organic material structure, recalcitrant to drying, is partly broken down, and cells opened.
